年、月、日表達法�
1)年份用基數詞,日期用序數詞。例如：�
2023年5月1日可以寫作 may 1(st),1988，讀作may the first,nineteen eighty-eight；也可以寫作

2)英語年份的讀法：一般先讀前兩位數,再讀後兩位數。例如：�

注意. ①日期可全用阿拉伯數字,但是英國人和美國人的寫法不同。英國人先寫日子,美國人則先寫月份。 例如：�

②年份的後面不用year(年),但有時前面有用year的, 如in the year 1949(讀作in the year nineteen forty-nine)。�
③公元前的年份後面加 b.c.(採用before christ的第一個字母,意思是公元前)。

可讀作two twenty-one b.c. (公元前221年)。
公元后的年份一般在後面加a. d.(拉丁語anno domini的第一個字母,in the year of the lord,意思是公元)。
有時也有把a. d.加在前面的,如a.
d. 1949(=1949.a.
d.)。
3)年代用年份的阿拉伯數字加-』s 或-s表示。例如：�
十八世紀三十年代→1730』s/1730s�the seventeen thirties�
二十世紀六十年代→1960』s/1960s�the nineteen sixties�
八十年代初期→the early eighties�九十年代末期→the late nineties�
